First Steps

Our Process

"Use your money to make a life, not your life to make money."

That belief shapes how we work together, and the path that gets us there. Most of my clients have achieved what they were supposed to achieve, and are finally asking what they actually want. If that sounds like you, whether you are navigating retirement, divorce, a career change, or just a quiet sense that it is time, this process will give you clarity before you spend a dollar with me.

Step 1: Initial Phone Call 25 minutes

An introductory call so we can both see if this is a good fit.

In this call I will seek an answer to this question: “What is the burning issue that prompted you to meet with me?”

Step 2: Discovery Meeting 60 minutes

Before we meet, you will fill out four worksheets:

  • Your life transitions
  • Your financial satisfaction
  • A simple financial statement
  • Basic personal information
The goal of this meeting is to get clear on this question: “What about money is important to you?”

Step 3: Drafting One Page Financial Plan $497 nominal fee

This step carries a nominal $497 fee, applied to your annual planning fee if we move forward, and fully refundable if it is not valuable to you.

After signing the planning agreement, you will send along your tax returns, brokerage statements, and Social Security statements.

I will then take 7-10 days and draft your One Page Financial Plan. This single page captures what matters most to you about your money and your life, distilling complex data into an actionable roadmap mapped directly to these core areas:

Step 4: Plan Review 60 minutes

We will walk through your One Page Financial Plan together, in plain English.

No jargon, no scare tactics, no fear-based sales pitch, just an honest look at your options and what I recommend, and why.

Step 5: Think It Over

Take the plan home, sit with it, talk it over with someone you trust.

Step 6: Moving Forward

When you are ready, we will handle the paperwork together.

If it turns out we are not the right fit, I am happy to point you in the direction of planners I know well and trust. I would rather you find the right partner than feel pushed into the wrong one.
