How Do You Define Success?
How do you define success? Hi, I'm Laura Rotter of True Abundance Advisors, and I'd like to share a shift that I'm experiencing. This morning I attended an inspirational breakfast hosted by Volunteer New York, an organization that matches volunteers with nonprofits that could use their input and help.
This was a large breakfast attended by 500 people. Last evening I was on a Zoom call with two women that I get together with each month to learn from each other and discuss what's going on in our lives. Last weekend I had the privilege of attending a retreat of the Salon 50 Sisterhood, a group of amazing accomplished bright women, 50 years old and older who are working at creating this next stage of their lives.
And after these experience I've had over the last week, I'm realizing that of course I'm not immune from our cultural definitions of success. I'm not immune from feeling like I'd like to have more clients. I'd like to have more revenue, I'd like to travel more, and all the trappings that we're told to reach for, and yet last evening I realized I am successful.
I have community, I have friendships, I have meaningful work. I have a wonderful family. I have a sense of purpose in my life. How blessed am I? How successful am I? So I wish for you the ability to reframe success for yourself. If you'd like to discuss this, Please reach out and give me a call or schedule a meeting.
I can help you meld wisdom with your wealth so that you can move forward with purpose. Thank you.
